My Spring Will Come

Light drops slowly

filtered through gray, rain by cloud,

soft and blurred, indistinct and vague.

 Spring drops slowly

drip by drop, bloom by petal, leaf by bud,

fragrant and pastel, amethystine and rosy hued.

 Thoughts come slowly

inch by inch, speech by word, bit by bit,

uncertain and tenuous, foggy and forlorn.

 My Spring appears

lap by lap, like ocean waves

creeping closer as the tide.

Slow and steady ( surely) Spring will come.

  1. Here I see glimpses of optimism, true and unforced, beautiful to behold.
